The Alcoholic anonymous meetings maintain confidentiality about each and every member’s existence. The sessions in the AA meetings are conducted by alcoholics for the alcoholics.

To maintain uniformity and to encourage a healthy discussion, pamphlets and brochures on the meeting formats are distributed. However, the group or the members have the right to change the agenda provided there is complete support.

According to the group, alcoholism is a disease and if it is not cured the right way, there is a tendency that is can never be cured. These kinds of meetings help these alcoholics divert their thoughts away from alcohol.
Irrespective of the position and the occupation of a person, anyone can become a member of the AA group. The main aim is to develop these people by creating a healthy mindset with healthy discussions rather than wasting resources on counseling which might or might not help in the long run.
